PS4 BD-JB Disk Troubleshooting

If you see “Corrupted Data” when loading a BD-JB disk, try the following steps:

1. Reinsert the disk: Some drives don’t pick it up on the first attempt. Eject and insert again.

2. Remove USB drives: Disconnect all USB storage before running the jailbreak disk. After the jailbreak loads, you can reconnect them.

3. Use a Blu-ray movie first: Insert a standard Blu-ray movie, wait for it to show in the menu, then swap in the BD-JB disk.

4. Update to firmware 12.02: The jailbreak method works best on firmware 12.02. Lower firmwares can be less reliable and may cause errors. Download firmware 12.02 here: https://darthsternie.net/ps4-firmwares/

5. Clean or check the laser: Some consoles may read PS4 games perfectly but struggle with burned Blu-ray disks if the laser in the drive is dirty or misaligned. Use a Blu-ray lens cleaning kit if needed. If this does not fix the issue, your DVD drive may need disassembling and internally cleaning, or realigining of the laser.

Please note that all BD-JB disks are carefully verified on a PC immediately after writing to ensure the data is correct. Each disk is then tested and confirmed working on a PS4 console running firmware 12.02 before being shipped. This ensures that the disks are fully functional and compatible with consoles on the recommended firmware.
